In a moment, you will have the opportunity to view our online survey
methodology. First, here are some Frequently Asked Questions about
the Phase 5 pop-up survey methodology:
- How does it work? Phase 5 software automatically
counts how many people come to your Web site and selects visitors
at a pre-determined interval of your choice (for example, every
50th visitor). When the 50th visitor arrives at your site, a small
window pops on screen, inviting the user to participate in the
survey. Visitors can be intercepted upon entering or exiting the
site, depending on the situation.
- What type of questions can I ask? Any type
of question format available in a telephone interview, can be
programmed into an online survey. In fact, unlike phone interviews,
online surveys enable the incorporation of graphics and media
presentation – which otherwise are only available through
face to face methodologies. Online survey questions can include
questions that recall from memory previous category responses
and follow up on them, enable multiple responses to a question,
skips, branching, and much more.
- Would a pop-up annoy my visitors? When done
properly, a pop-up survey should never annoy your visitors. When
a Phase 5 invitation appears, the visitor can choose to participate
or decline with one mouse click. If the person clicks "No"
then the invitation window instantly disappears. If the person
clicks "Yes" then a new browser window opens that contains
the survey. The pop-up survey will only appear one time for each
person. This prevents anyone from becoming annoyed by repeated
requests to complete a survey. Also, Visitors can easily toggle
back and forth between the survey and Web site.
- Why should I choose Phase 5 to host and design my pop-up
survey? Phase-5 has been providing internet research
for over a decade. Our pop-up surveys have helped our clients
by enabling:
- seamless survey implementation;
- accurate insight;
- customization of online surveys to the look & feel of
the host site
collection of contact lists, for follow up research;
- use of dynamic and flexible forms that include skip-logic,
branching, text substitution and randomization, and much more.
