Phase 5's Stephan Sigaud Interviewed by the Ortus Club

International executive knowledge sharing organization, The Ortus Club interviewed Phase 5's own EVP Marketing, Stephan Sigaud on November 18th, 2021 as part of their 'Ortus Chats' CMO series. The Ortus Club creates and manages events that provide senior level decision makers with opportunities to share expertise and insights across the globe. Stephan's discussion with Ortus Club interviewer Hanna Hodkinson focused on the continuing evolution of the Head of Marketing role, including trends and innovations for marketing leaders to monitor and adopt.

During their conversation, Stephan highlighted the importance of staying informed and curious, not only about your own industry, but about those adjacent to your industry as well. He noted that a key responsibility of marketing leaders is to drive growth, and that opportunities can often be found in the changes that are happening both to and around your sector. Research and data can help identify and quantify these opportunities so that you can make informed strategic decisions.

Another key topic of discussion was the use of technology. Change is a constant, and with respect to technology, it is happening faster than ever before. It's important to remain adaptable and flexible, as the right tools and technology can be the key to unlocking your growth and ensuring you stay competitive. Stephan cites the example of how Phase 5 has increased its use of marketing technologies in the past few years, and how this action has enabled the organization to better understand and respond to its clients needs.

The interview concludes with sage advice to create a vision for the future, but also remember to "roll up your sleeves" and execute the tactics that will bring that vision to life over time. Both views are required to successfully drive growth.
