Phase 5 Supports Thomson Reuters in Thought Leadership Initiative

Earlier in 2022, Phase 5 client Thomson Reuters embarked on a new initiative: its first annual Corporate Global Trade Survey, created to dive deep into the factors impacting one of their key customer segments, global trade executives. Phase 5 was engaged to support this important strategic work through survey design and execution, arming Thomson Reuters with the data and insights needed to produce an industry report and a thought leadership piece, "Turbulence Tempered with Technology".

As leading providers of global trade management software, Thomson Reuters has had a front row seat to the supply chain disruption that many of us have felt as end consumers. The company has also observed how changing regulatory and political environments continue to challenge the global trade industry. Thomson Reuters saw an opportunity to better understand the challenges that global trade professionals face, and how they are using technology to address those challenges.

Using the results of the study, our client was able to identify key themes currently affecting multi-national corporations involved in global trade, and the role technology plays in solving issues.  Furthermore, the study revealed how today's corporations are prioritizing their technology investments in order to generate the most impact. These insights, and the specific data behind them will help guide trade executives as they make strategic decisions about how best to move forward.

Following the study, Doug Church, a co-founder of Phase 5 and co-lead of the Innovation practice was asked to be part of an expert panel for an international webinar sponsored by Thomson Reuters, entitled "Exploring the Trade Compliance Landscape, Technology, and Talent: The Impact on Global Tax Compliance Leaders".
