State of SMB in 2021: April Report Now Available | Phase 5 and Cargo

Written by Stephan Sigaud | May 5, 2021

On April 14, 2021, Phase 5 agency partner Cargo presented topline findings from our joint study State of SMB (Small & Medium Business) in 2021. If you are a big brand looking to succeed in the small business market, this study will help inform your marketing, innovation, experience, and digital strategies. The April report is now available to download.

Based on our February 2021 survey of over 2,000 SMBs in the U.S. and Canada, this research explores drivers of SMB purchase and loyalty behavior in general, as well as in specific industry sectors including financial services, tech & telco, logistics, and software. It also investigates what SMBs currently fear, forecast, want, and need from the large enterprise brands that serve them.

Some key takeaways from the topline report include:

  • The top 4 Digital Transformation goals of SMBs
  • How SMBs are fending off Big Retailers
  • Do's and Don't's for the enterprises who market to SMBs

Cargo will be speaking and sharing findings at a number of upcoming events this spring and summer, including a CMA webinar in mid-May. Keep checking back, and follow Phase 5 on Twitter or LinkedIn for the latest information as it becomes available.

In the meantime, download this latest presentation to learn more, and follow us for more in-depth reports from this study, including deep dives by industry vertical (Financial Services, Tech, Transportation, Logistics), as well as Canadian-specific findings.
