UXR Conference - Happening June 6/7, 2022

"The Premier Event for Researchers and Anyone Who Loves Research"

A group of us at Phase 5 are very excited to be attending this year's UXR Conference, happening June 6th and 7th, both remotely and in-person in Brooklyn, New York. The conference is now in its 5th year, and is focused on professional development and networking opportunities for those in the industry. We're looking forward to discussing all things UX, and to sharing some of our own expertise (including our most recent thinking about UX & CX integration) with other attendees.

In terms of the formal agenda, 2022 program highlights range from learning how to speak the language of our CFO’s, to incorporating insights from behavioral sciences. Presentations will include:

  • The UXR Valuation Model - how to convey the financial impact of your work to your CFO
  • Web3 Needs UX Research - If Web3 technologies like crypto and DAOs are going to scale to serve a global audience, they need to get better at UX research
  • The Caucasity of UX: An Overdue Conversation on Power, Privilege, and Accountability - including how the "dynamics of whiteness" impact the UX community and our understanding of being "human-centered"

2022 speakers will include Founders, CEOs, Heads of UX Research, Directors of UX Insights, Behavioral Scientists, and other leaders from organizations including Spotify, Slack, Lyft, Headspace, and Loblaw Digital. UXR organizers invite you to join your peers and leaders from the research community for 2 days of learning, growing, and hearing from some of "the most inspiring practitioners in our field".
