2 New Presentations Available to Download

During the month of May 2021,  Phase 5 and our partners were featured speakers at two prominent industry webinars, and we're pleased to make those presentations available for download on our site now. 

On May 19th, Miki Velemirovich, President of Cargo Canada presented topline findings from our joint study: State of SMB (Small & Medium Business) in 2021 during a CMA webinar. Based on our February 2021 survey of 2,000 Small Business Owners (SBOs) in North America, this research explored drivers of SMB purchase and loyalty behaviour in general as well as in specific industry sectors including financial services, tech & telco, logistics, and software. It also investigated what SBOs currently fear, forecast, want, and need from the large enterprise brands that serve them.

Some key takeaways from Miki's topline report for the CMA include:

  • How SMBs are fending off Big Retailers 
  • Do's and Don't's for the brands who market to SMBs

On May 20th, Phase 5 Partner Steve Hansen and Phase 5 client Nicole Strong (IPEX Manager of Customer Insight and Ideation) were invited to speak at the Insights Association NEXT Conference. Together, they presented Co-Creation in a B2B Environment - A New Approach to Customer-Centric Innovation.

Steve and Nicole shared IPEX's challenge to scale up customer input and generate more product ideas from its "Customer Councils," even as the pandemic was creating a barrier to continuing the councils (which had always been conducted in-person and on-site at IPEX facilities). Using the Jobs to be Done approach to innovation, Phase 5 and IPEX worked together to successfully evolve "Customer Councils" in a way that produced positive results in terms of customer feedback, innovative ideas, and operational efficiency.
