Phase 5 Chief Innovation Officer is Featured Artist at Gardiner Museum

Arnie Guha, Ph.D., is Phase 5's Chief Innovation Officer. Did you know that he is also a talented artist? With experiential artworks ranging from large-scale installations to fine art prints, he is the multi-disciplinary creative force behind Acid4Yuppies, and has exhibited his work across Canada as well as internationally.

Acid4Yuppies Studio alters perceptions and produces unexpected visual offerings using photography, motion graphics and editing techniques. While the studio references the psychedelic art movement of the 1960s, the rave culture of the 1990s, and the induction of psychedelics into society, its visual language is grounded in the use of current-day technologies and digital media. 

On May 30, 2024, Acid4Yuppies will be one of four visual artists featured in the Gardiner Museum program SMASH: Between Worlds, a show that invites guests to explore the boundaries between states, parallel worlds, and altered realities through mind-bending installations, art, fashion, music, and more. Visitors will find Guha’s works in particular to be complemented by an extensive body of minimalistic photography and portraiture. From vivid colours to subdued hues, his practice explores both realms of the visual experience from extreme intensity to soft suggestion.

Phase 5 is extremely grateful to have found in Arnie Guha a leader who offers expertise and understands the value of both creativity and analytics. It's no secret that the best design (and the best solutions, generally speaking) combine a bit of art with a bit of science. A creative idea without the information and due diligence to effectively bring it to life will often fail. However even the most compelling data without vision for its application will certainly fail.  Arnie's creative talents have helped many a client visualize the possibilities that their research suggests.
